  1. One of my very favorite traditions is having our Christmas books laid across the tree skirt around the tree instead of presents. And reading them with my children throughout December .

  2. One of our favorite traditions is having my dad come to our house dressed as Santa (he is a professional Santa) it’s always a special treat for our kids to have Santa make a personal visit. Best part is he teaches kids the true meaning of Christmas and how Santa represents Christ. ❤️

  3. One of my favorite traditions is making my grandmas scottish shortbread recipe. It brings back lots of memories and reminds me of where I come from and they are easy to make!

  4. We always regret bee Jammies on Christmas Eve and we read the polar express and drink hot chocolate. We have been doing it since I was a kid.

  5. I try really hard to have Christ the focus of our Christmas celebrating so one thing we do is the first Christmas decor that comes out is the nativity. We read the story of Christ’s birth from the scriptures as we get out each peice and place it on the mantel. My kids love it. I’m a bit of a mess letting my 4 and 2 year old handle my glass nativity but i know it is important and i love hearing them get excited and tell me about each peice. I hope we continue to do this for years to come.

    • I love this tradition! What a great idea! When my daughter was young we bought the Fisher Price little people nativity…we’ve loved it because she could play with it and I didn’t have to worry about it getting broken! It’s still one of my favorite sets!
